Public beta
SonaCue 2.0 Beta.
The next major version, with multitrack cues and a band workflow. It installs as its own app, SonaCue Beta, right next to SonaCue 1.x — your current setup stays exactly as it is.
SonaCue Beta
Apple Silicon & Intel, macOS 14+. Signed and notarized by Apple; it updates itself to newer betas.

Beta key
Everything is unlocked for the first 7 days. After that, editing stays open, and Show mode needs a beta key. Keys are free during the beta, last 90 days and are renewed on request. A SonaCue 1.x license doesn’t unlock the beta, and a beta key doesn’t unlock 1.x.
- Send the request with the email address you want the key on.
- Once it's issued, open License… in SonaCue Beta and choose Sign in to activate.
- Sign in on sona-cue.com with that email, pick the SonaCue v2 license, and the app unlocks.
What's new in 2.0
- Multitrack cues
- Stems in lanes, one layout per show, each with its own level, mute/solo and fades.
- Output routing
- Send every lane to its own channels on a multichannel interface.
- Click & guide
- Render a click and spoken guide from the cue's grid into their own lanes.
- Sections & jumps
- Mark song sections and jump between them on the bar or beat.
- Setlists & crossfades
- A running order per gig, and cues that crossfade into the next one.
- Timecode chase
- Follow incoming MTC or LTC, including LTC from another app.
- Web remote & backup device
- Run the show from a phone; fall back to a second interface if the first one drops out.
Before you start
- It's a beta. Keep SonaCue 1.x for shows that matter, and try the beta alongside it.
- A show saved in the beta can't be opened in 1.x. The first time the beta saves over a 1.x show, it keeps the original next to it as
Name (SonaCue 1.x).sc. - The beta keeps its own settings, license and trial; the only thing it shares with 1.x is the show files you open in it.
- Found a bug or have an idea? Mail support@sona-cue.com — the beta version from SonaCue Beta → About helps.
