Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. Who you're contracting with

SonaCue is developed and provided by Stefan Strasser, Ostpreußenstr. 72, 81927 München, Germany ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or purchasing a license for SonaCue, you enter into an agreement with us on the terms below.

2. The software

SonaCue is a native macOS playback application. Edit mode is free and unrestricted. Show mode is available for a 14-day free trial per machine; continued use of Show mode after the trial requires a paid license.

3. Licenses & purchases

A SonaCue license is a one-time purchase tied to a specific major version (e.g. v1.x). It grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to activate and use that major version's Show mode on your own machines, for as long as you like — there is no subscription and no recurring charge. You can move your activation between machines from your account at any time.

A future major version (e.g. v2.x) is a separate product and, if released, will be offered for purchase separately — existing license holders will be offered it at a reduced upgrade price.

4. Payment, invoicing & refunds

Purchases are processed by our reseller, Paddle.com Market Ltd. ("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record for your order. Paddle is the seller of the license for billing, tax and invoicing purposes, handles payment card data, issues your invoice/receipt, and is your point of contact for billing questions, VAT and refund requests. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refund requests are handled by Paddle in line with those terms; you can also reach us directly (see Contact below) and we'll help route the request.

5. Updates

SonaCue checks for updates on launch and can install them automatically. Only updates within your licensed major version are offered this way; a new major version is never auto-installed.

6. No warranty, limitation of liability

SonaCue is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost shows, recordings or revenue, except where liability arises from intent or gross negligence, or for damages to life, body or health. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory German or EU law, including statutory rights of consumers.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the product or to applicable law. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country you live in.
